BUILDING HOPE FOR
GAZA'S CHILDREN

Help us provide shelter, education, and care for 20,000 orphaned and vulnerable children in Gaza

WHO WE ARE

The Gaza Children Village (GCV) is a non-profit, non-political humanitarian organization dedicated to restoring safety, health, and hope to Gaza’s orphaned and vulnerable children.

Founded by Dr. David Hasan, a neurosurgeon at Duke University, GCV was created from a deep commitment to give Gaza’s children more than survival, to offer them a real chance to heal, learn, and grow in safety and dignity.

Through our Academies of Hope and other initiatives, we provide education, nutrition, healthcare, and trauma-informed psychosocial support for children who have lost parents, homes, and stability to conflict.

Rooted in the local community and powered by global partnerships, GCV is building sustainable spaces of recovery and growth, nurturing a generation capable of rebuilding their lives, their communities, and the future of Gaza with resilience, compassion, and hope.

WHat we do

The Gaza Children Village is transforming the future for Gaza’s most vulnerable children through a holistic model of care, education, and healing.

We operate a growing network of Academies of Hope, now serving over 2,000 children daily in Deir al-Balah and Khan Younis, and expanding to five campuses by late 2025 to reach 7,500 children.

Beyond education, GCV leads emergency relief operations, delivers medical supplies and baby formula, and develops initiatives like the Jane Goodall Zoo, the upcoming GCV Pediatric Hospital, and Women’s Centers for Hope, creating safe, nurturing spaces where Gaza’s children and families can heal, learn, and rebuild their future with dignity.
